Real ID Information

There is a new form of identification you will need to present when traveling domestically. The new identification will require residents to present a Real ID-compliant document to fly in the U.S. and enter certain federal facilities under federal law. You can get a Real ID-compliant driver's license or state ID from the Michigan Secretary of State’s Office.

As of February 1st, 2026, if you don't have a valid REAL ID-compliant ID then you will be charged $45 to verify your ID with the TSA ConfirmID.

What Travelers are Saying!

As usual a great little hometown airport! A breeze to get and to get out. There is only two places to eat, I believe, but how many do you need with a handful of gates. I love the comfy couches you can lounge on while waiting...super cute!
